Ambrose was born on June 13, 1925 and lived most all of his life in Hudson County. He was a Police Officer with Jersey City for 26 years and retired Chief of Detectives. Ambrose became Chief of Police of the Department of Defense Police at the M.O.T. abt: 1980 when Chief Popko retired from federal service. Miguel A. Garcia, age 63 (WORKING)
Died July 15, 2016
Miguel was born on ??? ##, 19## in (city name), Puerto Rico. He moved to Manhattan, NY where he became a Police Officer working in several locations to include Seagate, NY before becoming an officer with the Department of Defense Police at the M.O.T. in the mid 1980's.(More information to follow)

Jose (Joe) Lima, age 63
Died July 10, 2019
Jose was born on July 21, 1955 in St Croix, Virgin Island. Joe lived in North Bergen for 17 years before moving to Toms River in 1996. He joined the US Department of Defense Police at the M.O.T. in the 80's where he acheived the rank of Lieutenant. As the M.O.T. was preparing to close due to BRAC, he transferred to Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst until he retired in 2013 to his home in Toms River. Jose's Police career spanned over 34 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, vacationing in Disney World, Sci-Fi, attending Police events and spending time with his family. |

Michael Meehan, age 94
Died September 24, 2019
Mike was born on November 2, 1924 in County Armagh, Ireland. He immigrated to the United States in 1948 and became a US citizen on March 17, 1954 (Saint Patrick's Day). He was a resident of Edison, NJ for nearly 60 years. Mike served in the US Army during the Korean War in the 25th Infantry Signal Company and then in the 11th Airborne Division. After the military, Mike became a Police Officer for the Newark Police Department were he served 26 years. Afterwards, he became a Police Officer for the Deparment of Defense at the M.O.T. until the mid 1990s when he retired to his home in Edison, NJ. Mike was a US Army veteran.

Randal J. Millen, age 51
Died March 22, 2011
Randy was born on January 16, 1960 in Newburyport, Massachusetts where he grew up. He later settled in Bayonne after completing his service as a Military Policeman, joining the US Department of Defense Police at the M.O.T. until the late 80’s. Randy and his family relocated to Newburyport in Massachusetts where he worked as a truck driver for Merrill Services in Newburyport and worked on the family farm. Randy was a US Army veteran. |

Joseph Morabito, age 54
Killed June 8, 2013
Joe was born June 10, 1958 in The Bronx NY where he grew up until he moved to Hunter Mountain, up state NY in the 90's. While working at the M.O.T. Joe achieved the rank of Lieutenant and became a shift supervisor. In the final days of the M.O.T. (abt: 1997) Joe transferred to the US Treasury Department in West Point, keeping his rank as Lieutenant and retired in 1999. In 2006 Joe came out of retirement taking a position as a Law Enforcement Professional for an organization under the State Department and was assigned as a lead instructor for the Scorpion Police Academy and was an adviser to the Iraqi National Police. In 2008 he was sent to Haiti as an adviser and soon after in 2009 was redeployed to Iraq and was stationed in Baghdad. in 2011 he was deployed to Afghanistan where he was assigned to Combat Outpost HUTAL with the 3/10th Mountain Division Task Force. Joe was killed in a blue on green attack. Along with his 34 plus years in law enforcement, Joe was also a veteran of the US Navy. |

Jesus Otero, age 54
Died January 1, 2010
Jesus was born in Puerto Rico and lived in Union City for many years. He was a Sergeant with the Department of Defense Police at MOTBY and at Fort Monmouth for over 25 years before retiring. Jesus was a veteran of the US Army Reserves.

Sixto Rafael Soler (Danny), age 52
Died July 16, 2013
Six was born July 26, 1960 in Puerto Rico and lived much of his life in Hoboken and Bayonne. He worked at the M.O.T. form the early 80's and achieved the rank of Sergeant. After the closure of the M.O.T. he moved to Virginia where he worked as Police Sergeant for the Department of the Army at Fort A.P. Hill where he retired from federal service. Six was a veteran of the US Army. |

Bill was born in Albany and lived in Menlo Park Terrace over the past 45 years. He was a Sergeant with the Department of Defense Police at MOTBY for 10 years before retiring. Previously he worked as a dispatcher with Spector Freight in Secaucus. He was a retired teamster and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. |

Bartolomueus S. Umek, age 69
Died March 26, 2014
Bart was born in West New York and lived most of his life in Union City. He was a Police Officer with the West New York Police for 12 years before joining the Department of Defense Police at MOTBY until he retired in 1994. During his tenure at the M.O.T., Bart moved up the ranks to become the Chief of Police. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart among other decorations. |
